Baking Classes Cancellation Policy
This policy outlines how to cancel or reschedule your enrollment in our baking classes.
Special Event Exceptions
Unless otherwise noted, the cancellation policy below applies to all classes and events hosted by L'Atelier. Certain special events, guest collaborations, workshops, and pop-up experiences may be subject to different cancellation terms. When applicable, the cancellation policy listed on the specific event page supersedes the standard policy below. Please review the event description carefully before registering.
1. Student Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that conflicts can arise. To ensure our classes run smoothly and to fill the spots of those who cancel, we adhere to the following timeline:
30 days or more before the class date: You are eligible for a full refund, minus nonrefundable third party processing fees, or a full credit toward a future class.
15 to 29 days before the class date: You are eligible for a credit toward a future class only (no cash or credit card refunds).
14 days or less before the class date: No refund or credit will be issued, and enrollment is forfeited.
Processing Fees: When a refund is issued for a cancellation made 30 or more days before the class, the amount returned will be the purchase price less any nonrecoverable third party payment processing fees (typically 2% to 5% of the transaction total) incurred during the original payment.
Credit Validity: Class credits are valid for 3 months (90 days) from the original class date and must be used to book a class taking place within that period. Credits are nontransferable and may only be used by the original registered student. Expired credits will be forfeited.
How to Cancel: All cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made by email to info@latelierphilly.com.
Transferring Your Spot: If you cannot attend, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place for that specific class only. Please let us know by email at least 24 hours before the class begins.
2. No Shows
If a student does not attend a class for which they are registered and has not contacted us before the class start time, no refund, credit, or rescheduling will be offered.
3. Minimum Enrollment and Cancellations by L'Atelier
Our classes require a minimum number of students to run. In the rare event that we must cancel a class due to low enrollment, an instructor emergency, or unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, we will notify you at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time using the contact information provided at registration. You will be offered a full refund or a full credit toward any future class.
4. Private Classes and Group Bookings
Private baking classes and large group bookings are governed by the cancellation terms in your individual booking agreement. A nonrefundable deposit is required, and the final payment becomes nonrefundable 14 days before the event date.
